Today we visited to determine why the a/c and heat aren’t working. Upon arrival the inside unit was turning on but the outside unit was not. The outside unit was receiving the voltage to energize the contactor but it was not pulling in because the low pressure sensor was tripped. The unit was entirely out of refrigerant. James added two lbs of R-410a to locate the leak. The leak is audible inside the evaporator coil. The system has a parts warranty until 2028. When the coil is replaced, since the unit has a parts warranty, we should also replace the TXV and primary drain pan.

This is the most basic equipment available for purchase today. It uses a single speed compressor and a single speed indoor fan. This unit is the least expensive to initially purchase and install.

Today we visited to perform an evaluation per our Fall Promotion. The unit is cooling, but well past its expected life and the inside unit has biological growth and other performance issues. James will be putting together replacement information for Elizabeth’s consideration.
